ESTI joined and ranked in MTAP again
The Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP) was conducted to train and help develop the student's skills in Mathematics. It is done annually with two categories, the elimination round, which is the Math challenge and the division round. In the elimination round, the students with the highest score will compete on the National Level and whoever includes in the top 20 will be given the chance to compete in the division level.
Last January 21,2012, ESTI high school department participated again in MTAP (Math Challenge) held at Marinduque National high School. Three participants from each year level joined the said competition. Jyricho Martizana, Edito Malacas and Anjivette Villaruel were the representative of first year; Sherly Ann Motol, Jeinrich Marckoe Molbog and Marushka Gonzales were second year representatives; Lai Ann Love Martizana, Jaylor Monteleyola and Mikka Malabana were given recognition on the Math Division Level for getting the score greater than 37 out of 50 items, were the third years' representatives an John Ronald Canson, Deborah Jane Quindoza and Donavelle Evangelista were the seniors’ representative. Out of 60 schools, all participants of ESTI were included in top 20.
Because of these rankings, they were qualified to the division level which was held at Landi National High School in Sta. Cruz last February 15,2012.
In that Math division level, out of 20 schools, the First year ranked 9, the Second year ranked 10, the Third year ranked 5 and the Fourth year students ranked 10. Their trainer, for first year and fourth year wa Ms. Lilibeth Sager and Mrs. Olivia M. Matining trained the second year and third year students.
