Ladios, Manuba pass the 2008 Board Exam for Criminologists
Abner M. Ladios and Jayson R. Manuba both passed the Licensure Examination for Criminologists held last August 24 – 25, 2008.
Ladios, who took the examination in Baguio City, obtained an average of 86.20. Manuba and the other BS Crim graduates had the exam in Lucena City.
The two belong to the first batch of BS Criminology graduates in ESTI. Other BS Crim graduates who took the examination but were unable to pass were Myrna P. Tan, Hansen Malapote, Jerry M. Landoy, and Mildred A. Magturo.
Ladios took review classes in the University of Baguio under Dr. Miller F. Peckley. On the other hand, Manuba, together with Tan, Malapote, and Landoy, had their review in ESTI under Retired P/Insp. Venancio Neri Maling, officer-in-charge of the Criminology Department, Dr. Alexander A. Urbano, Ms. Jovelyne D. Maggay, and Mr. Felipe R. Costuna Jr. Magturo had her review classes at the Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) in Manila.
Two ESTI reviewees who were not graduates of the institute also passed the board exam. They were SPO1 Esmeraldo M. Malelang and PO1 Manuel Sadiwa. They also took the exam in Lucena City.
The board passers are scheduled to have the Oath Taking Ceremony on October 11, 2008 at the Tent City, Manila Hotel.
